Let's Have a Chat

Hey there! I've been posting on this blog for the past month now, so you all have started to get to know me in a roundabout way through my writing. That's all great and dandy, but I want to know more about you too! I'm a type of person who truly loves getting to know people. Some folks are champs at small talk, but I'm all about deep conversations (especially over coffees at a cafe). Obviously, though unfortunately, we can't all round up to have a chat, but I still want to pose a few thoughtful questions that I would love for you to answer! They come from Marc and Angel's 50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind; my favorite questions are below, but some of the ones on the website may really make you rethink certain elements in your life. Anyways, on to the fun stuff (I love little questionnaires almost as much as I love lists)!

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

At what time in your most recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

What are you most grateful for?

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?

Just leave your answers as a comment, and I would be absolutely thrilled! I'll be sure to post my response too. Thank you so much for participating! Below is a bit of candy for the eyes, since you guys are so awesome.

I can't wait to see your question responses!

P.S.- Last night I crossed off #28 (seeing the Leonid Meteor Shower) on my "21 Things to Do Before I turn 21" list!

  1. At what time in your most recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

A lot of times during Junior/Senior year in high school I felt so alive and infinite. My mom was annoying about me leaving the house and I felt so constrained, but when I was able to get out for the night, the night belonged to my friends and I. Car rides into the sunset, local parks, etc. I wish I could stay young forever sometimes.

  2. Thank you for replying! :) I wish I could stay young too... I loved the way I thought that every single thing was magical. But we can all stay young at heart at least!

Here are some of my answers:

At what time in your most recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

Two weeks ago, I sat in a cozy cafe and wrote my novel consistently for four hours. I felt so happy and accomplished! It made me realize how much I really love writing.

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?

More than anything in the world, I want to learn how to use a video camera with skill and then make a short film or an entire movie out of one of my novel ideas! That is my dream.

  3. I'm all about deep hearty conversations too!! Like this robe too :)

As for the answers, hmm... Not an easy ones!

    - If I didn't know how old I was I would probably think I was in my late 30s... lol

    - I always feel most alive when traveling, so I guess I have to say that in my most recent past I felt most alive and passionate that past August.

    - Now this one is the most difficult one!! What am I grateful for! There's no such ONE thing, seriously... I can't choose yet!..

    - I really want to do a lot of things in life, so I'm going to be boring and repeat myself and say I can't choose just one thing...

  4. Oh btw, I love YOUR answers! I'd also love to film a short one day. Not nessecarily being a camera woman myself but definitely writing a script and being a director.

  5. This is such a good idea!
And the photos accompanying it are so lovely!
Luxe robes are so delicious and I highly reccomend them - I'm hoping to nab a few more while I'm in Malaysia on the cheap!
I just purchased anold super 8 camera and a splicer for it really inexpensively on ebay- you should check into it - they make such lovely videos.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

I would probably be a combination of 6 and 80. I am the most rediculous mix of child and old lady.

At what time in your most recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

Probably my whole last weekend - It really takes a series of events to get me feeling really alive on a big scale. I got to do yoga, talk with lovely people, and dance my heart out. Three of my favorites.

What are you most grateful for?

I am most grateful for my family. My parents are awesome and my sister is the coolest chick ever and my best friend. The atmosphere and attitude that my mother raised me with enabled me to have the other things I am most grateful for - a sense of wonder, unconditional love, mercy, unfailing faith, and joy in everything.

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?

I really really want to do some sort of animal rescue work - preferably with gorillas or elephants. But, hopefully that will be remedied soon.

    Love&light, lady!

  6. Here's mine!

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

** I'm confused by this question. Haha. I think I would be 30. Young enough to still wear cute clothes and do childish things, but old enough to be wise and have learned from mistakes in the past.

At what time in your most recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

** I felt this most recently when writing and recording a song for my band, Lorelei. Creating music is the most amazing experience in the world.

What are you most grateful for?

** Like many others, I'm mostly grateful for my fam. My parents lived their life for me and still do. I feel like I could never repay them. I'm also grateful for my man. He is the best thing that has happened to me. I have grown so much as a person because of him.

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?

** I want to trek with the mountain gorillas in Uganda! :)

  8. How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
*** If I didn't know how old I was, I would probably think myself as 25. I've got dreams and ambitions to do something with my life and I am just getting started. 25 is also young enough to enjoy living and act like a kid sometimes, because I like to do that a lot when I'm happy.

At what time in your most recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
*** I've felt the most alive tonight. Talking about life and how I am going to change things for the better made me excited to be here on this planet. Maybe I'm not too passionate right now, but it will come trust me.

What are you most grateful for?
*** I'd have to say I am most grateful for the support of my closet friends and family. Without them, I really don't know where I'd be. Without this one person, I would be grinding out day to day just trying to make it through. I know I've been doing that a lot lately, but after reflecting on myself things are going to change for the better once again.

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?
*** I know it is kind of shallow but I really want to go to London and watch Charlton Athletic play at the Valley. If you ask me why I chose the Addicks, I don't really know. What I do know is that I support them and always will. Sports bring me immense joy, Charlton and Georgia Bulldogs are my passions.

  9. You guys are so great! I really appreciate you taking the time to answer these "get to know you" questions. I love the info you all gave and definitely agree with most of it! The only problem is that now I want to ask a million more questions in response... :D

  10. 1) If I didn't know how old I am, I would be 8 :)

I was so happy and care-free, and I'd give anything to ditch all the responsibilities that come with age. :$

    2) I know this doesn't exactly answer the question, but I feel passionate and alive everyday! I try to be passionate about everything I do and love everything I see. I know I sound like one of those annoying over-spiritual people, but I'm really not like that. I just.. came to appreciate certain things as a result to going through a lot. :)

    3) I will be talking about that in my thanksgiving post ;)

    4) I would kill to join doctors without borders. *sigh*

    You're lovely :)

  11. Oh, and my last two answers are...

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

I would be a five year old at some points, always curious about the world and thinking that the tiniest things are amazing. At other times I'd probably be 70, because I feel wise about certain subjects and sometimes don't relate to many kids that are my age!

What are you most grateful for?

I am grateful for so many things! I have a wonderful mother and boyfriend, and I lived in the most beautiful beach town growing up. I have been able to experience some great things at a young age, like living in Europe for a year in high school... so I just feel generally thankful!

  12. I love that quote, and Fifi Lapin!
    Okay, my answers:
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
I'm fairly sure that I would be around the ages of 5/15, as parts of my are so childish and naive, but in some ways I feel like right now, at fifteen, I'm at the prime of my life, and I feel so wonderful.

At what time in your most recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
I'm not so sure, it's every time I laugh, I cry, I write and every time I feel my heart burst in joy.

What are you most grateful for?
To be alive, and to have love.

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?
Well, I'm young, but I suppose my future aspirations include helping others in my career.

These were great questions, thankyou :)

  13. Wow those favorites of yours are 4 great questions, love it...
Ok question #1 I would say I'm 29 or 30 its the point in time in your life when stop questioning yourself who you are and start believing in what and you have become.

Question #2~ I have been lucky to fall in love a few times in life and there is no greater time in ones life that makes you feel more alive and passionate than when you discover a new love.. unfortunately I have not been able to hold on to any those loves..

Question #3~ That's easy my little girl.

Question #4 I know the response may sound odd giving my answer to #2 or not,.. but Get married
